Some people think that Lean-Agile is some exact process where you can follow the steps without really getting the principles, and all will be well.

Agile is a set of principles.

Lean is a set of principles.

Applying these principles in various situations requires adaptation to the circumstances. What is shown in this book is how we adapted the principles to our specific situation. We share our story so you can see our adaptation in our context. Your adaptation may need to be different. If you apply the principles well, you’ll be okay.

You can’t just follow exactly what worked for another group without thinking through the principles and expect everything to be fine.
