We are grateful for our leadership team who were willing to experiment with Lean-Agile in business critical projects and programs.

Learn as much as you can on internal projects before moving to customer projects/programs.

To help you achieve this, work to develop the credibility to engender patience with senior leaders so when your situation moves into the complex context and you move to more of an experimental mode than a predictable mode, they will not try to over control the situation when the results are not what you aimed for, preempting the chance to see the patterns emerge.

You need support from senior leaders to find success before the organization gives up on Lean-Agile.
