Lean-Agile simply takes the big chunk of time that the Buyer’s staff already uses in traditional ADDIE waterfall and spreads the efforts out, distributed across the iterations on the schedule.
Therefore if implemented well, there should be no extra time spent. See the following caution.
|Where the buyer staff can increase their time spent is if they try to formalize and add extensive documentation requirements to every iteration event. For example, if the buyer staff simply has written minutes from each iteration demo, that should be sufficient for following up to ensure the contractor/supplier incorporates all of their feedback. Resist the habits of extensive documentation as the proof of progress and focus on working courseware as the proof of progress.|
