We recommend breaking down video production into smaller work items because its duration may cross iterations.

Large components of courseware like video may need to be broken down into smaller work items. Instead of having a single card on the Kanban board that says "Video Component", you may need to add travel, arranging for the capture session, post capture editing, etc.

Sometimes media work requires design and a series of tasks to complete too.

If a customer employee will be in the video and that person is not available for 4 weeks, then you’ve crossed two iterations before the video capture session.

The principle is to break work items down into a size that can be completed in a two-week iteration.
